Cupcake has a new stockist. Woo-hoo!
You can now buy a selection of cupcake money boxes from Word of Mouth, 3a Albert Street, Edinburgh a cafe/bistro in Leith. Everything is home made by a small team of staff who love food. There are hot and cold mezes on offer, with an extensive range of vegetarian options. Word of Mouth has a cosy friendly, relaxed atmosphere and hosts open mic nights for poetry and music as well as film nights.

Word of Mouth Film Night
Word of Mouth is hosting a Film Night on Thursday 26th November 2009 – 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Come along for a night of short films followed by a feature – The Killing of a Chinese Bookie by John Cassavetes.
This month anyone can submit a short film in reaction to the idea of Low Def Filmmaking i.e. shot on cheap camcorders or mobile phones. It can be about experimentation or just about focusing on the content of the drama or doc. I’m going to be showing some of my cupcake stop frame animations.

Penguin has all the moves in this animation.
Cupcake Animations
September 23rd, 2009
I love making cupcake animations as much as I love making cupcake money boxes.
My first stop frame animation was ‘penguin dancer’. I took and used 163 individual digital photos and that was all for this 35 second animation. It takes a lot of patience, but the end results make it all worthwhile – see for yourselves…
Taking the photos is the easy part. The editing process is the most time consuming, especially when trying to get the money boxes to move to the beat of the soundtrack.
Watch this space as new animations will be popping up at Cupcake HQ from time to time. In the meantime take a jump and a hop over to my YouTube Channel to see more animations.
